How We Care

Ripon Community Link values the right and the benefit of community participation for all, recognising the mutual benefit of each person’s contribution.

The mixture of activities both within Ripon Community Link and being facilitated within the wider community means that everyone can be cared for and supported according to their needs, choices and goals, maximising independence and community participation in a safely managed way.

Members may have profound physical support needs or none, good communication skills or very limited means of communication. The diverse, family feel of Ripon Community Link means that members benefit greatly from the friendships, sensitivity and encouragement of other members.

Safeguarding and safety are taken seriously; a carefully established framework of policies and procedures allowing for confidence and freedom in achieving healthy and natural operations.

Valuing People

Respect for each person underpins all that we do, for example in personal care, listening to views and encouraging strengths.

Professional Approach

Continual reviewing and up to date risk assessments ensure safe management to maximise independence, enable personal choices and encourage development.

Members have a sense of belonging with Ripon Community Link and they bring their own influence to what we do and how. In addition, they benefit from the support of one another in a caring environment.

Individually Tailored

Coordinators oversee a flexible and responsive plan of activities and support level for each member, according to needs, goals and interests.
